A trained kaimahi (support worker) will answer. We’ll:
Listen without judgement
Help you make a safety plan
Support your next step, if and when you're ready
Safe housing
Support to stay in your home safely
Help with legal protections (e.g. Protection Orders)
Advocacy with WINZ, Oranga Tamariki, Police, and others
Tamariki support and school liaison
Ongoing emotional support and recovery programmes
We support:
Wāhine of all ages and backgrounds
Tamariki (children) who have experienced or witnessed violence
People in same-sex or gender-diverse relationships
Disabled wāhine or those needing tailored support
Immigrant and refugee women
Transgender Women
Wāhine with or without children
People being abused by anyone with whom they have a close personal relationship - not just intimate partners
You don’t need to meet any criteria. If you're unsure, just call us.
When you contact us:
You’ll talk to a trained support worker (kaimahi)
You choose how much to share
You’ll be respected at every step
We’ll help you plan, not pressure you to act
We won’t share anything you tell us unless:
You give us permission
There’s immediate risk of serious harm to you or your tamariki
We follow strong policies to protect your privacy.
